God, show me how to lean on You when I think I need to scramble and sew things back together. You say that You want me to ask You for help when I'm in trouble, and You will deliver me. I don't always deserve it. None of us do.

Help me see change as the catalyst to the next step. I don't want to be locked up by fear. I want to exude a confidence in You, a trust that You will put my situation back in order as I listen to Your promptings. I might have made some bad choices, and have the potential to make them again. Please give me the strength to resist. Keep me so connected with You that I can relax again and know that my steps are ordered.

Bring supportive people into my life, ones that carry the solutions and ones that care about where my decisions lead me. Bring people into my life who need to know how others got through the same dilemmas. You are one who forgives over and over.

Help me avoid wasting time in accomplishing my goals. You are one who doesn't worry about the time like we do, since You see the whole universe, the whole time line. Give me a glimpse of how Your kingdom moves forward.

You are the one who can shake down thick walls, make a walking path in the waters, heal those who approach You. You have reprimanded people for not believing that You'd help, for scurrying to tape our lives back together when You have the superglue. Some pieces might not fit like they used to, some need to be tossed and replaced. Help me accept the new design.

Protect me in Your arms. Put a blockade around me from the judgment of others. I will not absorb their oppression. I will move forward in Your forgiveness. Thank you for where You've led me so far, and for caring about me.
