Have you heard solid archaeological or scientific explanations for ancient miracles?
Did the scientific explanations involve earthquakes, comets, toxic plants, volatile substances, any things that occur regularly?
Were any based on perfect timing, hidden objects, secret information?
If miracles involve natural processes timed perfectly to help believers, do you still consider them miraculous?
Did any non-believers receive miraculous help?
Do you think they should?
List some declarations of the future that came true.
List some that haven't come true yet.
Are there any predictions that seem to be lining up now?
Imagine you are living in an era before technology. Visualize these descriptions in your mind. Think of ways visions could be explained with familiar modern objects that weren't around then.
Would it make you respect your God more or less, knowing some miracles were based on knowing where hidden things are and who needs them at the time?
Think of one miracle that you don't dare explain away.

God, my skepticism seems to override my faith. You know that; you've worked with people's doubt, fears and overrationalizing for centuries. How do you solve that weakness, how do you fill in that gap of our resistance to the miraculous to eventually get things done? Work in me to gradually understand how to accomplish what you want in my life and for those around me. Work through me to bring healing and restoration to others' hearts and lives.
